Bluejay

I just saw a bluejay
Spreading its wings in an elegant way
Flying across the universe toward a distance enchanted tree

Its flight had seemed uncharted
When at first it stalled
Then darted on its way

Though it perched here for just one moment
It flew off without resentment
Its feathers ruffled in the wind

And the memory of its presence
Will remain forever pleasant
In the eyes of those who caught a glimpse of it
