The Dark Void Revisited

A dark void clouds my past
The faint shadows of shapeless figures
Stirring lazily, in and out, to and fro
In the world that my memory triggers

Voices heard in mumbled blurbs
A barely audible sound rings soft in my ear
Stirring lazily, in and out, to and fro
As though the figures were standing oh so near

A vagueness settles in the mire
Seeds planted but yet to break the surface
Stirring lazily, in and out, to and fro
Leaving a sense of misunderstood purpose

A beam of unyielding light
Truth is just a rose bud trying to flower
Stirring lazily, in and out, to and fro
Waiting to bloom into almighty power

In a blinding spotlight I stagger
The secret of life enters naked on the scene
Stirring lazily, in and out, to and fro
Fighting to steal the show and end my dream

A dark void clouds my past
Ago and before hold quiet vigil in the night
Stirring lazily, in and out, to and fro
In perpetual echoes of what was wrong, and what is right
