| Mind in Flight
In a flash of light
A thought was born
Like none that came before
That would change the course
History had drawn
Unlock a brand new door
A pale yellow light
The lamp had cast
That sparkled in her eyes
And the pages spread
Revealed her task
'Twas there her purpose lie
Of the words she'd penned
Their truths had been
Metaphysical fact
But the theme was man
As his own end
The choice was white or black
She'd given the sun
Her most precious gift
To a world without light
So that minds might see
A sudden shift
Toward souls that would take flight
Brought up in a world
That never could repay
She offered it her best
And her only reward
Her only pain
Was she soared above the rest
