| The Seasons of Man
They set the stage and gear the band
For they are the seasons of man
The Dawn of Spring
We dance until the sunlight
Breaks the night away
We float among the floodlights
Till the dawning of the day
Then we sing into the meadows
The chords of our time
Till we crash into our shadows
And relate our perfect crime
The Wind of Summer
The sun reflects the heat
Our bodies generate
We boil over when we meet
Until we saturate
We lie naked in the breeze
To meet the rays of day
The heat falls through the trees
The light that paves our way
The Fall of Autumn
We set sail across the lakes
Cut through the gray of water
The sky shouts, the thunder breaks
You are the autumn's daughter
You are fragile as the brown leaves
Aligned there in the gutters
Come in, let's light the fire please
And board up all the shutters
The White of Winter
We skate through these days so slow
Spending most our time indoors
And when we're out there in the snow
We don our scarfs and furs
Inside we bundle up real close
Underneath those cotton quilts
And we sip champagne and make our toast
And forget our fears and guilts
